STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove doesn’t start, be sure the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part of the oven will need to be fixed. The cause of the problem might be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven without produce heat won’t do much. Your oven does not heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner won’t ignite if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to fix these common problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians are able to diagnose the cause of the problem and then repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we have to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens sometimes experience door problems often. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door won’t open up and then complete the repair in order to put an end to the issue.
